Making Adjustments

You can change the price of your ticket without having to pay a change fee. If the fare goes down, you can still book the same flight at a lower price.

When you book a trip, you can change the return date and the departure date. You can also cancel the entire trip and rebook it. If the fares go up, you have to pay the higher price on both legs.

However, fares can still go up on both legs. If the one-way ticket goes up, then the other one-way ticket goes down. So, if you decide to rebook, you only get the difference from the round-trip price.

Boarding Pass For Group A

You can check-in on Thursday at 1:00pm if you booked both tickets as one-way. However, if you did not book the tickets separately, you will get a C boarding pass.

For instance, if you have a round-trip ticket that leaves on Thursday and returns on Friday, you cannot check-in until after the scheduled departure time.

To get a group A boarding pass, you should check-in at least 24 hours before the departure date. If you are planning on taking a quick trip, check-in at the last minute.

Most of the flights to Hawaii from California are from cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Long Beach.

Southwest also offers flights to several Hawaii destinations, including Honolulu, Kauai, and Maui.

After you join Southwest, the easiest way to get points is by flying with them. They give you points for every dollar spent on a ticket.

Rapid Rewards is Southwest's frequent flier program. It's free and only takes a minute to sign up. Aside from earning free flights, you also receive occasional drink tickets and hotel discounts.

Southwest has four different credit cards that are offered through Chase. Two of these are personal credit cards, while two are business cards.

Since this post was first published, the sign-up bonus has been reduced to 25,000 points. It's usually updated once a new year comes around.

Throughout the year, Chase has various sign-up bonuses. For every card that you are approved for, they will give you 50,000 bonus points. The catch is that you must spend $2,000 in the first three months.

If you have good credit, there's a good chance that you can get approved for multiple Southwest cards at once. Just make sure that you can meet the minimum spend requirement within three months.

For my trip, the total cost was only $12,112 points, which included taxes and fees. With one Southwest credit card, I could fly to Seattle for free and back four times.

To be eligible for a Southwest Companion Pass, you must earn at least 110,000 points in a year. This is fairly easy to do since the 50,000 bonus points that you receive from each card count towards the total points.
